A Light for Greytowers will be making its official Israeli premiere at the Jewish Eye World Jewish Film Festival in Ashkelon at noon October 25 and 26! Filmmaker Robin Garbose will attend and host a Q&A session after the feature.
We are delighted that the Jewish Eye made the groundbreaking decision to include a “women-only” film in their festival — setting a new precedent in Israel and building a bridge through art between religious and secular. They initially got cold feet and we almost saw a repeat of Jerusalem JFF, but thankfully they were able to overcome their trepidation and are now excited about it… as are we!
The festival will take place at the cinematheque of the International Conference Center of the Ashkelon Academic College, which has allowed the festival to use its luxurious halls and state-of-the-art cinema equipment.
