The premiere tonight at the Jerusalem Jewish film Festival was spectacular, BH! I want to thank you all for the tremendous support you have given us throughout the years.
Wow! The film is really melting divisiveness and bringing Jews from disparate points of view together. People also came tonight from the Religious Film Festival in Rome (not Jewish)– they would like the film to play there as well. My heart is certainly singing!

All my best, Robin

With more than 15 cast and crew members from “The Heart that Sings” in attendance at the New York premiere, the post-screening Q&A session was a great look into the making of a frum movie.

Here are a few fun and enlightening clips. (Excuse the low-quality lighting and sound…)

If you’ve got any questions for Robin or the cast, post ‘em in the comments section below!

Jewish Press: Not A Camp, An Experience

by Rochel Levy

True performers look for every opportunity they can to exercise their talents, so when summer comes around, the numerous camps and jobs targeted to the average fun-loving girl just will not do. Performers need something bigger: Kol Neshama. As Robin Garbose, the director, puts it, “Kol Neshama is not a camp, it is an experience.”

Ever since I can remember, I have loved to act. I always knew it was what I wanted to do, and it [...]

Tablet Magazine: No Boys Allowed

Is the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival discriminating against Jewish artists? That’s what director Robin Garbose is saying after submitting her feature A Light for Greytowers to this year’s festival, which takes place the week before Hanukkah.

The festival accepted the film earlier this month. Then things got sticky. Garbose insisted the festival screen the film only for women, based on a promise she made to her Orthodox female cast members at the beginning of production, while Daniella Tourgeman, [...]
