Miss Edelberg’s Advice Lyrics

Miss Edelberg’s Advice
From Kol Neshama’s “A Light for Greytowers”

Music and lyrics by Levi Garbose.
Sung by Miss Sarah Edelberg

Our G-d from up above
In His abundant love,
Blessed me with you dear little children.
And though it surely grieves me so,
All the pain that you must know,
You came to me and I gave you my life.

Now let me tell you a thing or two
About life and what you should do-
Just remember just this one piece of advice…

Chorus: Everything G-d does is as it should be
Believe in this, my darlings, and it will set you free
   No matter what you feel,
   The only thing that’s real
Is that everything that happens is for the good.
Yes, everything that happens is for the good.

I took you happily,
We’ve become one family,
You live here in my home with ease.
Now it’s a privilege, I must say,
To watch you every day,
I pray to G-d to answer all your pleas.

But if there’s one gift I give to you,
If there’s one thing that will carry you through,
It’s in these few words here that I’m going to say…

   Chorus

I wish we could remain,
Have our world stay just the same,
Nonetheless we know that can’t be so,
Although someday we must part,
Put these words upon your heart,
To guide you through the darkness you endure.

So hold on with all your might,
And everything will be all right –
Since Hashem loves all you orphans most of all…

   Chorus

These Frum Filmmakers Are Revolutionizing Orthodox Cinema

July 12, 2016

by Simi Horwitz The Haredi world is generally viewed as an insular patriarchal community that shuns movies. Virtually nobody owns a TV. Still, a fledgling, shadow film industry has been growing quietly for a decade within the confines of this improbable universe. These flicks — dozens of them — are produced, scripted, directed and performed by […]
