Morning Comes in Easy
From Kol Neshama’s “Together as One”
Music by Yonatan Raz’El, lyrics by Levi Garbose.
Sung by the Servants, the Angels and Bracha.
Morning comes in easy
As I open up my eyes,
I feel you all around me,
You are my Light,
I hear Your voice call in my ear,
Your song rings in my heart,
You know this soul,
It searched throughout the night.
But then this all seems as a dream —
Am I really here with You?
Who am I? And who can know what I deserve?
I am so small, yet I must know,
Will You always be with me?
Will Your promise always stay here by my side?
I stumbled in Your garden
And my heart came all undone,
I cried aloud,
Please help me, G-d above!
My prayers still live within my soul,
I saved them just for You,
There’s no one else to turn to,
Where’s Your love?
Yet when I cry out to you
With a cry that from my heart,
A cry that fears this pain will never end…
Do You see? Do You hear?
I’m pleading for my soul,
Please promise me I’ll never be alone.
Please shine Your light and bring me to my home,
Please shine Your light and guide us all back home!
Morning comes in easy
As I open up my eyes,
I feel you all around me,
You are my Light,
I hear Your voice call in my ear,
Your song rings in my heart,
You know this soul,
It searched throughout the night…
