From Kol Neshama’s “A Light for Greytowers”
Music and lyrics by Levi Garbose.
Sung by Miss Grimshaw
Oh, Agatha, oh Agatha!
How could you be this foolish?
It must really have to do
With all these things that they call… Jewish!
My problem is these nasty little girls,
My worst nightmare is coming true!
It’s impossible to continue here
Now that they know that they are Jews!
After all I’ve done to civilize them
Teach them manners in the English way,
I can’t fade — I’m not a flower!
No, I must prepare to flee Greytowers
Someday I promise, I’ll make these people pay!
So I must gather up my little treasures,
Take all the money without fail,
I’ll be gone before the coppers come –
Better run than go to jail!!
Spoken: Stupid girls! They’ll never find anyone to run
this place as efficiently as I did!
